Fender Mustang Mocha Brown (Walnut) de 1977

Originellement présentée par Fender en août 1964 comme une  déclinaison d'entrée de gamme de la Duo-Sonic, la Mustang se distingue par son diapason court de 24 pouces. Son échelle réduite la rend particulièrement adaptée  aux petites mains. C’est aujourd’hui un modèle incontournable dans le catalogue Fender.

Voici une très belle pièce en excellent état et entièrement originale.

On retrouve un corps en frêne dans une belle finition Walnut plus communément appelé Mocha Brown, deux micros Grey Bottom datés de 1977 pilotés par les contrôles habituels : un volume, une tonalité et deux sélecteurs avec la fameuse possibilité de les mettre en série ou hors phase.

Le profil du manche s’apparente à un Medium C avec une magnifique touche en palissandre, bien figurée.

Les sonorités qu’elle propose sont typiques des Mustangs de cette décennie, boisées et claquantes, toujours très intéressante avec les multiples possibilités de commutation.

A part quelques traces de jeu évidentes, elle reste très propre pour ces 46 ans. La tige de vibrato est manquante.

Elle est livrée avec son hardcase Victoria d’origine.

Une beauté des 70’s qui se laisse jouer très facilement, en plus d’avoir un mojo visuel très attirant.

She has an ash body in a Walnut finish, commonly called Mocha brown, two Grey Bottom pickups dated from 1977 with the usual controls : one volume, one tonality and two selectors renowned for the possibility to put the pickups in or out of phase.

The neck profil is a Medium C shape with a very nice and figured rosewood fretboard.

The sonic range she offers is typical of this decade, very woody and snappy, with multiple switching options.

Apart from some light player and couple of dings and dongs, she is in great condition for a 46 years old lady. The tremolo arm is missing.

She comes with her original Victoria hardcase.

A 70’s beauty that’s very easy to play with an appealing mojo.
