La réputation des instruments Hofner n’est plus à faire, étant l’un des plus grands fabricant allemand. Ils ont crée de nombreux modèles iconiques et leurs instruments sont de plus en plus recherché aujourd’hui.

Voici une archtop haut-de-gamme et rare du constructeur allemand ayant vue le jour dans les année 60.

On retrouve un corps 16 pouces avec une table en épicéa et un dos et des éclisses en érable magnifiquement flammé.
Les ouïes cateyes apportent un coté très élégant à la guitare.
Le pickguard perloid est sculpté (carved) et épouse la forme du corps.
Nous avons un chevalet H72/20 en palissandre ainsi qu’un cordier Frequensator.
Le manche est en 5 pièces d’érable/acajou et la touche en palissandre.

Elle a une belle projection et reste très polyvalente et agréable à jouer.

Pour l’optimiser, elle a eu un neck ainsi qu’un refrettage.

Elle a bien sur quelques signes de jeu du à ses 60 ans de vie. Le placage de tête est légèrement abimé.

Un instrument datant de l’âge d’or de la construction allemande, a avoir dans sa collection !

Here is a high-end rare archtop from the German company, made during the 60’s.

She has 16 inches body with a spruce top and flamed maple back and sides.
She has very elegant cateyes f-holes, that gives her a very distinguished look.
She has a carved perloid pickguard hugging the shape of the body.
She has the H72/20 rosewood bridge and Frequensator tailpiece.
The neck is a 5-piece maple/mahogany combo.

She is versatile and gives a lot of projection, being also very easy to play.

She had a neck reset and fret job to optimize her playing.

She has a couple of scratch marks and playwear due to her age as well as some aesthetic damage on the headstock veneer.

A lady coming from the Golden era of guitar building and that will give a fine touch to any collection.
